Cost for a family of four: $42.20

Like everyone else out there, I’m speeding toward the holidays and it seems like we just finished Thanksgiving!

I’m turning to my trusty pantry list to save me time and money so I can plan our family’s holiday feast and find a present for Fred that will knock his socks off. Not expensive, just right.

I’m raising the bar high tonight with Couscous with Dried Fruit, Butternut Squash and Turmeric – a super satisfying vegetarian meal to offset all the meat we’ve been eating. Getting a little pantry fancy on Saturday and Sunday with Sicilian Pasta with Tuna and Capers and Paella with Spicy Sausage and Shrimp. The rest of the week I’m bringing out the family favorites, Oklahoma Style Pantry Veggie Burgers, Veggie-Loaded Chicken Fried Rice, lip-smacking Cajun-Style Red Beans and Rice, and the big-flavor-packed Crispy Salmon Cakes.
