SHOPPING LIST

Bakery

  • 6 hamburger buns


Canned and Packaged

  • 2 cans (14 ounces) pinto beans (check your pantry first)
  • 2 cans (14.75 ounces each) salmon
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes (check your pantry first)

Condiments and Sauces

  • 2 tablespoons Asian sauce (black bean, hoisin, or teriyaki)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Frozen

  • 4 cups frozen Asian-blend vegetables (or 4 cups of mixed frozen vegetables, such as broccoli florets, carrots, cauliflower, green beans, pearl onions, peas, or snow peas)


Meats and Seafood

  • 12 ounces boneless chicken breast
  • 12 ounces chorizo or other spicy sausage
  • 1 pound large (26/30) peeled and deveined shrimp


Pasta and Grains

  • 1-1/2 cups couscous
  • 1 pound spaghetti (check your pantry first)
  • 1/2 cup bulgur wheat


Produce

  • 2 large green bell peppers
  • 1 medium butternut squash
  • 2 heads garlic  (check your pantry first)
  • 2 leeks
  • 3 lemons
  • 1 bunch mint
  • 8 ounces crimini mushrooms
  • 1 small red onion
  • 4 yellow onions
  • 1 bunch flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 bunch scallions
  • 1 large or 2 small ripe tomatoes


Other

  • 1/2 cup dry white wine


PANTRY ESSENTIALS

Beans, Breads, Grains & Pastas

  • 1-1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 6 cups white rice

Dairy

  • Unsalted butter (2 tablespoons)
  • 1 large egg
  • Mayonnaise (1 cup)

Herbs, Oils, Spices & Vinegars

  • 1 1/4 cups canola oil
  • 9 tablespoons olive oil
  • Spices  (black pepper, cayenne, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, ground ginger, oregano, sweet paprika, saffron, salt, turmeric)

Canned Goods

  • 48 ounces chicken broth
  • 1 can (28 ounces) chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cans (6 ounces each) olive oil-packed tuna
